Problems & Hypothesis
Problems
Business problem
Because we require a method to change the current transaction practices in the field, in order to enhance the organization of sales recorded in cold storage and increase visibility of the process.
Users problems
As a cold storage supply chain provider, Fishlog aims to streamline the purchasing process for large quantity buyers by providing a user-friendly platform to view and search for available fish stock. This eliminates the need for excessive chatting and inquiries about availability, enabling a more efficient process for our buyers.
Hypothesis
This issue arises due to disorganized bookkeeping and wasted time for transactions performed in the field. We anticipate the swift release of the goods for processing by significant purchasers and subsequent distribution in the market.
Research & Findings
Research
Interview Users
For validation, we interviewed several buyers who regularly conduct transactions with our cold storage facility to identify the benefits and challenges of those transactions. Please provide your feedback on developing digital transactions for our cold storage.
FIndings
Transactions that can be bargained or negotiated
Buyers usually carry out transactions by bargaining so that the price purchased by the buyer is in accordance with his wishes, so that later when it is resold the selling price from the buyer is not too high.
The need for fish is quickly detected so that it can be offered again
Buyers require regular updates on the availability of fish to inform their subscribers and facilitate buying and selling. It is crucial that these updates include both pricing information and video content showcasing the quality of the fish so that buyers can make informed purchasing decisions.
Design Exploration Web & App
Design decision Web Desktop
We created a display that instead of making the user feel like an ordinary catalog, we made it like e-commerce, but with a simpler and to the point display so that buyers can immediately check fish and transactions.

Design decision Web Mobile
We are introducing a new product for mobile users by creating an Android version of our app. This change is in response to the evolving purchasing habits of consumers, who prioritize convenience and simplicity in their transactions. The Android version includes a new feature unavailable on the desktop version: automatic detection of the nearest cold storage location. This addition facilitates price estimation for shipping and market prices, providing users with seamless and efficient shopping experiences.
Challenges & Improvements
The performance of the team and me personally during the project:
running Research is still not perfect
Time constraints
Communication with the tech team
There are several differences related to user behavior that are not yet clear
Project Outlook
The project will undergo an iterative process to develop a desktop web product or mobile app. We will continually adapt to the evolving needs of our existing and potential users to ensure our products meet their demands and expectations.
Learnings
There are many areas that require further development in terms of research, design, and stakeholder involvement for this project.
From a business perspective, there is still a lot to explore since our CRM is inadequate and needs improvement.
To achieve clarity within internal and external business, it's crucial to communicate with various departments, given that the project is still new and requires further insight.
Empathy is crucial in this business model as we interact directly with a wide range of users from diverse backgrounds, despite being in the same type of business.
